MP: MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT CONCORDE

Jenny Tonge, Liberal Democrat MP for Richmond Park, has welcomed the news that British Airways is to take Concorde out of service.

The MP said: "Concorde was noisy and even more polluting than other elderly planes, so this is good news for my constituents. "

"But part of me can't help feeling a bit sad. It was a really beautiful plane and a technological marvel in its day."
