MP HAILS ARTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Jenny Tonge, Liberal Democrat MP for Richmond Park congratulated three schools in the constituency for their achievements in winning Artsmark awards.

The awards, for outstanding commitment to the arts, went to Tiffin Girls School (Gold Award) and to Latchmere Infant and Junior Schools (Silver Awards).

The MP said: "I am delighted that Tiffin Girls and the two Latchmere schools have won these awards, and offer my hearty congratulations to both staff and students."

"I hope I shall be able to visit the schools soon and see the art work for myself. It is so refreshing to see schools continuing to find room in a crowded curriculum to encourage students' artistic talents."
