Quitting Smoking Vital For The Health Of Londoners - Hughes

Commenting on the figures released on National No-Smoking Day by SmokeFree London that show one in four deaths among London men are caused by cigarette smoking, Liberal Democrat London Mayoral candidate Simon Hughes said:- "As the Mayor of London has responsibility for public health, a co-ordinated campaign across London, particularly targeted at certain communities, encouraging people to quit smoking and providing information to stop would be useful way of spending public money."
